Synopsis
"There is a sense of the absurdity of class divisions—the servant, the bourgeois and the aristocrat—at a moment in history when the categories lost their conviction," wrote the London Times critic. Dorante, who is poor, gets a job as a steward with his adored Araminte. On his behalf, Dubois, his former servant, wages psychological warfare.
